Growth comes last. On purpose.
Four pillars hold up the business. Growth sits on top. We build them with you in order, because each one creates the capacity the next one needs.
The Pillar System is The Authority's core engagement. It builds four pillars in order: the foundations, the standard, the financials and the rhythm, so the business can carry growth without running through the owner.

Capacity before growth.
Most businesses push for growth first. More work lands on a team already at capacity, and the owner absorbs the overflow.
We create capacity first. An owner at 85% who takes a curveball goes to 95%. An owner at 110% gets no progress at all, only overwhelm. Each pillar takes something off your plate before the next one asks anything of you.
The order flexes to the business: if cash is the emergency, the financials come first.
Pillar 1 · The foundations
The question: What is this business for, and what are you actually building?
What we build: Purpose and values, 1, 3 and 5-year milestones for the business and for you, and the org chart as it is and as it needs to be.
Pillar 2 · The standard
The question: What do good and great look like here, and does the team know?
What we build: Written standards, a definition of done, process maps from enquiry to delivery, a skills matrix and quality checks.
Pillar 3 · The financials
The question: Where is the money made, and where is it leaking?
What we build: True job margin, labour recovery, pricing, breakeven, debtor days and a monthly numbers review.
Pillar 4 · The rhythm
The question: How is the business led, week to week?
What we build: Team meetings with agendas, one-on-ones, monthly reviews, a clear escalation path and protected time for you.
What an engagement looks like.
First, the Business Growth Audit finds what's true.
Pillar 1, agree where the business is going.
Pillar 2, get what's in your head written, taught and checked.
Pillar 3, stop the leak: recovery, pricing, job margin.
Pillar 4, meetings and reviews that keep it running.
Then, marketing and sales the team can now absorb.
We review progress every month, against the levels on the right.
A pillar isn't finished until it reaches level 5.
| Level | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| 1 | Only in someone's head |
| 2 | Talked about, or written but not used |
| 3 | Documented |
| 4 | Consistent, because someone is checking |
| 5 | Happens without the owner |
Writing a process gets it to level 3. Level 5 needs rhythm.
What it changed.
Who it's for, and what it costs.
Owners of established businesses, usually $1M+, whose team still depends on them too much, and who are ready to be held to a weekly rhythm.
It's scoped from your Business Growth Audit and billed monthly: month to month, 30 days' notice, no cancellation fee. You'll have the number before you commit.
Why does growth come last?
Growth adds load. If the business still runs through you, more work lands on you. Building the pillars first creates the capacity to absorb growth.
How long does each pillar take?
It depends on the business. Writing a standard is quick. Getting it to run without you takes longer, because a pillar isn't finished until it holds without the owner checking. We review progress every month.
Do you replace my accountant?
No. Your accountant reports the numbers. We help you use them: job margin, labour recovery, pricing and a monthly review.
What if cash is the emergency?
Then the financials come first. The order flexes to the business; the principle doesn't.
Not sure which pillar is cracking?
That's what the first 15 minutes is for. You'll leave knowing the one thing to fix first.
