“We want to stop using the apps to chase our work.”

How RH Landscaping replaced paid lead apps with a pipeline it owns, had the biggest sales year in the business, and got its owner off the tools.

The situation

He didn't have a work problem. Everything just ran through him.

When we first sat down, Khade said something most owners can't: finding work wasn't the issue. Where it came from was. Referrals, plus three lead apps that had got dearer and worse. He was quoting people who hadn't poured their slab yet, then never hearing back.

RH was moving into bigger landscapes, electrical and renovations. But quoting, pricing, site standards and follow-up all ended at Khade. He was on the tools during the day and doing admin at night. Every bit of growth cost more of his time.

The biggest thing is the simple fact of I don't let control go.The more I do it, people are learning stuff that only I ever used to do for the business. I don't need to do it anymore.Khade, RH Landscaping, six months apart
The diagnosis

What Khade thought the problem was, and what it actually was.

What Khade thought

A visibility problem. Get found on Google, fix the website, stop paying the apps.

What it actually was

Nothing in the business could win work without him. Referrals were strong but untracked, reviews were left to chance, and quotes lived in his head. Visibility was the right place to start. It wasn't the whole job.

What we did

Crawl, walk, run. Spend followed proof.

Oct 2025

Strategy before spend

A session with Khade and his business partner to map the year, with low, moderate and high investment options so Khade chose the level, not us.

To be straight about it: not all of that growth is marketing. Khade hired, priced bigger jobs and pushed hard. What marketing did was give the growth somewhere to come from. Nine months in, he summed it up himself: "We've increased in sales, we've increased in the amount of people coming through, calling us, all of the stuff we set out to do."
What's next

The new problem is the good kind.

More quotes than one person can price. So the work has moved from getting enquiries to converting them without Khade in every step: senior hires, a follow-up system from enquiry to decision, and a website that sells the bigger jobs before he walks on site.
